Hi Gang,

   Nov 1, 2001, Goa

   I was excited. We had to visit the cementry, clean
the grave and decorate it with flowers, light candles.
People cleaning the graves of their near and dear
ones. The graveyard, that would scare people away, was
so very inviting and pleasant.
   We went there with a helper, the grave was cleaned.
It was a very hot day, sweat trickled down down down,
the sun burnt us down. 
   This day is known as All Saints Day. The day when
the graves are cleaned and decorated. Tomorrow happens
to be the All Souls Day, a mass is conducted and
people pray for the souls to rest in peace. The
cementry will be kept open till tomorrow 12noon. After
which it would be closed. 
   Evening we went and decorated the graves with
flowers. As I walked around the graveyard, I wished
that after my death, my family and friends would
remember me. I don't know what happened, but I wished
for death(!) My friend's mom scolded me! Eeeks! Half
and hour, I had to listen to her advice. I had to pray
again. Oh My God! *hehe*
   There were so many graves that were abandoned by
families. Such a pity! 
   Life is so very uncertain. People fight all their
life and when they die, they just die..what did they
fight for? Just to acquire a few materialistic
pleasures? Once you realize this fact, I guess death
doesn't scare you. It's so simple, and clear.
   Hmm..well, today was a day, I realized lot many
things in life,...joy, sorrow, relationships, etc. No
one/nothing waits for anyone. Everything is
independent and moves on. What say?
   Well, Rohit asked for a romantic description, and I
end up posting about life :D :D Sorry, will write
sometime later about romantic Goa.
