Re: [nukkad] What the Kashmir problem is not .

Tip of the day: Don't worry about the world coming to an end today.
It's already tomorrow in Australia. -- Charles Schulz

Had British not partitioned them out of combined Hindustan before
independence, wouldn't they be a part of India (or Pak).

Sikkim also was not a part of India sometime ago.

Hongkong was part of China sometime ago.

Original US in 1776 was a combination of just 13 states. Remaining 37
joined it later on one by one. last two being Alaska and Hawaii Island.

I had read somewhere that Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan, Seemant Gandhi, the
leader of North West Frontier Province that is currently in the Pak
touching Afghanistan, wanted to merge with India, not with Pak.

But in consideration of something, Mahatma Gandhi declined and they had
to merge with PAK.

Could somebody please add to that. what could be the point on which we
declined.
