I think people are not so fool. See what happened to Jayalalitha, Laloo Yadav. I
think our democracy is mature but it is still evolving. And I think we are
approaching a bipola system very fast. As I see it within 15-20 years India
should have a two party system as in USA.

Cheers
Milind

It is the people who bring up hung parliaments without giving any single party
the required majority. In this case, alliances are natural as otherwise a
government cannot be formed. What alternative we have in our quiver? We surely
cannot afford another election and even if we can, who can guarantee that this
will solve the hung parliament problem? History may simply repeat itself.

It's the people's verdict. Let us face it.

Sincerely,
Venu

We all know that the present Central Govt. has been formed on the basis of
the alliance strength. What is this alliance? We have allready seen problems
in Karnataka and now in Maharashtra. If these alliance partners can back off
at will how can forming the govt. on this basis be justified. What meaning
does a alliance have? Do these alliance partners have any obligations or
since now they have won the elections, they don't care.

You are being fooled during the elections ! ! ! !

Mind you we pay for these elections, and if alliances are formed only to win
elections forming a central govt. on this basis is senseless.

Does anybody see an answer or solution?

Sharad.
