Why is this so big an issue?  Is it not enough if the ministry gets work
done?  Why should it matter whether the minister is Hindu or Muslim or
Christian or Sikh?  Why should a person be made a minister just because he
is from a certain community when there are people who can do the job better?
Is it that if a person is from a certain community he will take care of the
community's needs, whatever they may be?  Why, then, is Bihar so backward in
spite of we having had so many ministers from that State?  Are the Muslims
any better of now after having had Muslim ministers in every government of
the past?  Or, does the Hindu slum-dweller have a higher standard of living
than the Muslim slum-dweller?  Why is it that we haven't heard any Muslim
complaining about the constitution of the ministry?

In India, when forming a central ministry, representation from all states 
and communities is considered more than their qualifications, at least to 
pacify everybody.
