Ravi/Nukkies,
The whole idea is one looks for talent and technology
first in it’s own country, if it is not available then
you go out. Their has to be a reason to go out, taking
the example of US, most of the technology guys come
here from outside because there is a shortage in US,
but the first attempt of US administration is also to
look for talents in it’s countrymen, then if it does
not fulfil the requirement, the US admin goes out to
look for bright brains in the international market.
Whereas in case of India the list of ex cricketers
that I put up in the earlier mail, we are skipping and
ignoring the huge talent available in our country and
just going outside for greener pastures without any
valid explanation and need. The duty of a countries
admin is to first take care of the needs by using own
countrymen and then if the need is not fulfilled, try
look in the international market. There is definitely
no harm in sharing international knowledge.
The board can conduct regular interactive sessions of
the team members with ex international cricketers but
full time foreign coach , when better talents are
available in the country itself seems a decision
dictated more by some unexplainable reasons.
