RE: [nukkad] Gita in a nutshell?

1) These are not TEXTs. These are VERSES. Adya Shankaracharya was a great
poet. Many of his Stotras are famous. (e.g. Devyaparadha-kshamapan-stotra.)
I personally like Shankaracharya more because of his poetry. (I do not
understand the philosophy beneath it.) This and many of his works are rich
in onomatopoeia.

2) This stotra is known as Charpat-panjarika-stotra. (In Marathi, Charpat
Panjari means blah blah blah.... some meaningless long talk.)

3) I am not sure this stotra is Geeta in nutshell.

4) Since I know this stotra since childhood, I could read the roman
presentation of it. But I wonder how many of the recipients could read it
correctly. Devanagari rendering would have been more apt. There are many
ways this could have been achieved. (I know at least one site.
www.mailjol.com. This site allows you to send mails in Devanagari (and other
Indian) scripts. What is more, if you type just like the sender of this
stotra, it is rendered in Devanagari. Pedagogy is simple. (Note: This should
not be construed as promotion of any website.))

5) I noticed some Pathabheda. But they are minor and the meaning remains the
same. e.g. verse 12 - Dinayaaminyau .... I know it as Dinamapi rajani.

6) I don't know about ISKCON mailing list but one can pick this up along
with so many of such works from books. And they are priced less than INR 20.
I got mine from a railway station book stall in India. It contains at least
hundred such stotras with meanings.

7) I did not know of the 'prakshipta' 14 verses. Thanks for this
information.

Thanks and Regards,

Vilas D. Virdhe
