KABIR OUTDATED

It is time to put Kabir away.

It is time to replace his "Hari, Guru, Nirbandh, Ram"
with the personal Oversoul and read the verse in that 
way.

In his time, in the slow scale of Realization, it was
valid to center around the Guru rather than God, but
in this time, it is time to move on and further center
around the center within.

Even then, he saw some shift himself and spoke to
that effect:

maya maha thagni ham jani
trigun phans liye kar dole, bole madhur bani

Keshav ke Kamla huve baithe, Shiv ke bhavan Bhavani
Panda ke murati huve baithi, tirath me pani.

Here he is uncertain as to the extent maya represents
godheads, and doubts its effect, or one's interpretation
of what one sees, or thinks one sees.

Maya then comes across as Kamla to Keshav, Bhavani
to Shiv, a murat to Pandava or Pande or pandit, and 
in terms of this discussion, godhead or guru, all the
while it being the same matter, which resides in you.

In another verse he is far more explicit, though himself
falling short of recognizing himself as Himself, just as
you are You.

moko kahan dhunde bande, mai to tere paas me
na mei bakri na mei bhedi na mei churi gandas mei

[ ... ]

mei to rahun sahar ke bahar, meri puri mavas mei
kahe Kabir suno bhai sadho, sab sanso ki sans mei.

Sans here is nafas, prana, or more intimately and
picturesquely, the Oversoul.

Those who move centerward, find what they have
to find. Those who remain in the periphery, remain
peripheral.

The choice is one's own, just as the millstone around
the neck.
