Tip of the day: Remember, this "nukkad" is international.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Jimmy,
their head office is at bangalore. visit their websites
www.artofliving.org and
www.srisriravishankar.org
there you will find the details and contact persons of your local centre
also.
the basic art of living is, as harsh said, a 5 or 6 day, 3 hours a day
course, last day being full day. they charge Rs 500/= for this course,
though i have heard that they waive half of that for students. apart
from sudarshan kriya they teach two methods of breathing, ujjayini and
bastrika pranayams.
at least once a week (we have here at thu at one centre, and fri at
other centre) 8:00PM to 9:30 PM they conduct satsang in which they sing
the devotional songs, they also share info about the future programmes
of the centre and a weekly message sent by the guruji.
then they meet every sun morning 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM and the physical
exercises and sudarshan kriya is practised.
further to that there is a four day fully residential advance course.
and there also are some long term fully residential courses at
bangalore.
they have a lot of books cassettes. try chitra roy's nivedan, geetanjali
and samarpan, last one on hmv.
i am a member of local group. which city you are at?
regards.
