Re: [nukkad] Did Man _Really_ Land On Moon?

Title: RE: [nukkad] Did Man _Really_ Land On Moon?
Dear Venugopal,

I am afraid that you are wrong. A book was published way back in the 60s itself. The US government banned the book. However, several copies clandestinely found its way through various sources. I have myself seen a photocopied version of such a book (in really poor condition) with one of the ISKCON members in Mumbai.

ISKCON members use this book to state why its not possible to land on the moon. Its mostly used to corroborate a fact from some Hindu texts which describes the difficulties in landing on the moon.

While I do not personally subscribe to the fact (whether or not) man did actually land on the moon, I must say that the book (or whatever is available) makes interesting reading. It has photos and lot of research. I have copies of the original moon photos from the 60s and I did find the problems mentioned in the book. Maybe there are answers - simple ones but NASA never came out with it! Rather they banned the book.

What is currently available by mail order is clandestine. They are only photocopies of part of the original text. In some cases only the odd numbered pages are there. The author died in mysterious circumstances. Someone else is marketing the photocopied remains and making money. Anyway if you are interested, just drop into ISKCON at Juhu Mumbai and get in touch with a sanyasi. You will get to see the text.

And yes, the Russians did not refute it because they also sent people to the moon and for obvious reasons they could not refute it either. (This was sometime after the Americans moon landing and the book coming out). Out of curiosity I asked a scientist in one of the space centres the claims. I was told that many things had to be made larger than life for the masses and the moon landing was something that the people expected a lot of and technology was not upto it. So many photos were done for public consumption and the guy who did it for NASA later on went to make sci-fi movies such as Planet of the Apes!

While the fact - "Did man really go to the moon ? something of a fact (based on many other facts available), some of the photos and dream sequences may not be really from the moon.

Anyway time will reveal all..... Truth will prevail

Regards,

Sudarshan
