        I disagree with your opinion. I think kids and parents want to have a greater brighter future for the kids.Why do they go to cricket? Because there is money and fame. A lot of training camps are available. Cricket is played at every level. Cricketers get a lot of polularity. Also they get a lot of money. And what happens to athelets? Do you know the first individual bronz medalist for India Mr Khashaba Jadhav from Maharashtra, whi won a bronze medal in Wrestling in 1952 olympics, had to mortgage his house to go to olympic. The government did not even sponsoer his trip.

        And he has not got any award yer.. No arjun, no padmashree, no promotion in his work place too. And mind you he was not illiterate. He was a B.A. L.LB. And worked in the police department as a constable for more than 20 years. He died some years ago and we dont know his name too. Can you imagine first individual medalist for India.

        The problem is media attention, money, sponsorship, infrastructure and lack-of-will from our politicians to support sport other than cricket and hockey.
