Applying for the course

You can get information on the current status of admissions / courses from the
Current Status section of this page. 
Pre requisites

Before you can apply for an MCA at VJTI, make sure you are eligible for the
course. Following are the pre-requisites: 
&#61623; Graduate in any field with atleast 55% marks 
&#61623; Math at Standard XII or higher 
&#61623; Scorecard of NCST's E or I level examintaion 

NCST's E and I level examinations serve as the entrance test for the MCA
course at VJTI. The same scorecard may be used for entrance into NCST, or MCA
at Goa University. 

The examination paper is exclusively objective type with 2 sub parts: 
&#61623; Part A consisting of General Aptitude 
&#61623; Part B consisting of Computer Fundamentals 

You must answer ANY ONE of these levels. Only parts A and B of these levels
are considered for the entrance.

There is no lower limit on the score you have to obtain in this exam, but
going by current trends, I suggest you get above 95 percentile for Maharashtra
candidates and above 98 percentile for non Maharashtra candidates. 
The Cut-Off percentile is as under for the current year and the last 2 years.

Application Forms
After answering the entrance examination conducted by NCST, you can apply for
the MCA course at VJTI. The application form is available from the VJTI office
(main building). This form must be filled in appropriately and must be
submitted along with the following documents: 
&#61623; Attested copy of the NCST entrance examination score card. 
&#61623; Attested copy of SSC (X) and HSC (XII) Marksheet(s). 
&#61623; Attested copy of the Graduation Marksheet and Passing Certificate. 
&#61623; For Outside Maharashtra A certificate from Mumbai University -
Kalina.
