Mr Patil,
   After going through your message with your "we
Maharashtrians" thing I did ponder over whether it was
worth replying and setting off an ugly war of words.
But I didn't want to leave this issue lying around
like this.

  To clarify things, the point I intended to make was
about the insensitivity that has permeated society
today. The issue is about the utter disregard for the
lives and well being of fellow human beings, and the
increasing anarchy where some people are more equal
than others.

  I have nothing against Maharashtra, a place that I
consider as my maayabhoomi. I've nothing to say about
the intolerant sounding phrase about qualifying me to
be classified as from this state or that. I'd choose
to ignore the personal attacks, and other issues
dragged in.

   The incident that happened could have taken place
anywhere. It could be Thane, or Delhi or Chennai,
basically any place. The people who vandalised the
place could be from any political party or
organization. That's not the issue. The issue was
about innocent people being the sufferers in the games
played by politicians and their followers. Like in the
1984 riots where many innocent Sikhs were killed.
You missed the issue totally.
     
  If you happen to support the idealogy of the people
who carried out the attack, I have nothing to say on
that. I would only ask you to put this question to
yourself. That is,
   Would your views be the same as expressed here, if
one of your friends or near'n dear ones happened to be
in the hospital at the time of the attack ?

 That's all... period !!!
