Your rampant and ignorant jingoism is quickly getting very tiring.

Why don't you carry your logic (?) to its logical conclusion and
have everyone stay in the same village their forefathers (how far
back do you want to go?) lived in. In fact, let's go one step further.
We should all still be living in Africa and call ourselves Africans. 
Our ancestors came to India but they were outsiders, right? None of 
us truly belong here and have no right to call ourselves Indians, 
let alone use the state names. Be sure to identify yourself as an
African the next time your nationality comes up.

I guess using facts would be useless in face of such misguided 
opinions, but let me try. The state of Maharashtra did not exist 
before 1960. Everyone who lived in the region before then are 
Maharashtrians. Everyone who has been living in the state for any
reasonable amount of time have the right to call themselves
Maharashtrians.

If you value 'your' state so much, you should be proud that people
want to belong to it. Why do you insist on diminishing the pride
that people have in the state and the city? Are you sure you are
a well-wisher of the state?

BTW, if you keep up with your screeds, you may have to find another
venue to vent.
