I think you too are incorrect, Ninad. Maharashtra or a Marathi state existed
in Yadava's times and that was at the beginning of the last millennium. The
geographical boundaries varied. The first Marathi stone-script in Marathi
("Shri Chavundaraye karaviyale..") is found in Shravanbelgole in today's
Karnataka. And that is a thousand years old. Shahaji's period was early 17th
century.

Harshal you are wrong. Maharashtra was there right from the age of
Shahaji (father of Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj). Please refer to the
"BAKHAR" of great historian Mr. Babasaheb Purandare.
