The news reports did show a bunch of people dancing. That was
sickening. But that group did not represent all Palestinians.

I don't have any idea how a country should respond to something
like what happened on Tuesday. I hope that bombing a country
is not the answer. It will only create martyrs and a new generation
of terrorists.

The Guardian (UK newspaper) said it well:

"America's best defence against terrorism originating from abroad
remains the existence of governments and societies more or less
satisfied with American even-handedness on issues which are important
to them. Plainly, this is furthest from the case in the Muslim world.
That is largely because of American policy on the conflict between the
Israelis and the Palestinians, but also because there are some Arabs
and other Muslims who also regard American and Western ascendancy as
affronts in themselves. "


While diplomacy and a change in foreign policy won't appease the
people, it will certainly pave the way to future peace.
