SUPERSTITIOUS SENSATIONALISM

Humans love to sensationalize when they are not indulging 
in rank superstition.

The quatrains of Nostradamus are written in cipher and can 
in translation be bent whichever way one wants to. 

A known fact. Enunciate in clarity whatever is based on
truth and there are few takers. Sensationalize, lacing it
with dire predictions, and many a sane person will buy
it wholesale.

And when the someone who is the soothsayer has the
props of mystery and quasimagical powers, we have the
makings of an almost cult like following of decerebralized
people.

That a miracle was worked and the lame walked cannot
be far behind.
