NO LAND IS AN ISLAND

No land is an island, safe from terror's strike.

This Enemy is one who kills in stealth while we sleep
Is everyone's Nemesis whichever company we keep

He could be slumbering in the gullies of Lahore
On in the elegant wooded gardens of Bangalore

You might find him at prayer at the holiest shrines
Or you could see him at play in a wine bar's confines

This Darainda* does not know kith from kin
And whatever your color or caste he will do you in

No land is safe anymore, no home is beyond his strike
Keep awake, else you may meet him at the Turnpike

As of now, humanity stands in two just places
One with the Beast, the other in Humanly Graces.
