but that was a film song. Maybe the ego over there is so high that
popular singers don't come together. Especially because they prepare
their albums themselves.

In India also, when a singer releases his/ her album, it is solo. But
when a third agency prepares an album, they bring together different
celebrities.

Ghazal is an exception in which rule seems to be a combinaton of male
and female voices, that too, mostly husband and wife. There also, Ghulam
ali, Mehdi hasan have given mostly solo, except ghulam ali+asha.
