It is true we all use the same spices all over the country. Its the quantity
that makes ur eys water ur nose run and if u have  a receding hairline have
your pate break out in sweat :P
The Andhra chicken curry of which my mom used to make a variant and she used
4 tablespoons yes 4 tablespoons of black pepper powder! for a single
chicken!
I remember a gujrathi friend of mine looking in awe at my mothers
chillipowder tin. Their house would buy 100 gms of chilli powder more than
60% of which would be thrown out after 6 months.
Incidentally they were Kutchi Bhatia's not necessarily gujrathi's
