It's clearly a hoax!

It's easy and only normal to brand this off as a "hoax" upon a first
time read. How can an aircraft carrier not have the
navigational/nautical expertise, not to be able to distinguish between
another carrier or a naval transporter and a lighthouse ?

More caution advised before such articles are posted, even though as "TP".
