Salaam is an Arabic term. The Hebrew for Peace or Salaam is Shalom.
Jerusalem means city of peace in hebrew. *Yerushaláyim* or *Yerushalaim.*
Dar  Ul Salaam - the L is replaced by the S since "S"   is a Qamreein
alphabet - much like the vowels and consonants in English.- Arabic has
Qamrein and Shamseen.
The  Arabic word  for Jerusalem is Al Quds.
