Carola,

I am forwarding your message to a few people in the hope that we find
an English teacher who will contact you.

And just for your reference, there are a couple of different school
systems in India. Most of the students are in the state-managed
schools whose curriculum is set by the state and varies from state to
state.

There are also central school boards who manage the curriculum in
schools affiliated with these boards. This curriculum is standardized
across the country.

One of these boards is CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and
their syllabus for Grades XI and XII is online at
http://cbse.nic.in/curric~1/syllabus_sample.htm

The other national board is the Council for Indian School Certificate
Exams or CISCE. Their website is at
http://www.cisce.org/cisce/defaultmain.asp.

The Central Government's Education Department website is at
http://education.nic.in/Elementary/elementary.asp
This may be useful for some policy-type stuff.
