[nukkad] **JUNK** Condolences

[This message contained attachments that have been removed.]

Death, though inevitable, has its own significance. Each event should be
considered on its merits. The solemnity of the actual occurrence is,
however, the same in all cases. We feel sadness in our hearts and want to
express our compassion to the family concerned in their bereavement.

Accordingly, messages of sympathy would be, more or less, identical in all
cases. Repetition of certain terms used to express condolences cannot,
therefore, be avoided. It must not be forgotten, however, that the bereaved
family would feel consoled to read or hear such messages over and over again.
The reason is that this would convey to them that they are not alone in their
suffering and that there are people around them to share their grief.

The monotony of consolatory messages could, however, be avoided by
appropriately eulogising the deceased and advising the family how best to cope
with their sad loss. Care should be taken, of course, to ensure that no
exaggeration is used, as otherwise the bereaved family would easily recognise
the artificiality in the message. On the other hand, it would be better to
add a few words of admiration than criticism, however true it may be!

I would be interested to know if there are any other comments on this
particular topic.

With kind regards,
